Rules of the Game

The following regulations – reduced and simplified for private use - are taken from the Official F.I.C.B. Regulations for the "Traditional Double" specialty.

1. The game of football is a game of miniature football, the purpose of the game is to score goals against the opponent.
2. Whoever scores 8 goals first wins the game.
3. Every 7 goals you change course.
4. Luckily, it is decided who starts the game. The ball is placed in the defensive zone, and before being thrown towards the opponent's goal it must be struck against a side of the playing field. The next balls will go to those who have conceded goals.
5. It is possible to pass the ball between men of different splints and also of the same splint for a maximum of 10 seconds. After this period, you must make a shot, otherwise you commit a foul.
6. If the last pass is made between 2 men of the same stick or if the ball stops, or if the same man touches the ball twice, before shooting on goal, the ball must be hit on the side. Otherwise, a foul is committed.
7. Whoever pulls the door by turning the splint more than 360 degrees, commits a foul.
8. The balloon (i.e. when the ball overcomes one or more splints) is not allowed. After a balloon, even fortuitously, the ball must be hit on a bank before shooting, otherwise a foul is committed.
9. If a player commits a foul, if the ball passes to the opponent, the rule of advantage will be granted, otherwise it will be returned from the center. Any goal will be cancelled.
10. If the ball enters the goal and leaves it by chance, the goal will be considered valid.

The styles

The Garlando foosballs lend themselves well, from a technical point of view, to supporting the various styles of play.

Italians practice almost exclusively the so-called on the fly mode. As the name says, the ball must be hit on the fly, as soon as it comes into contact with the feet of the little man, and it cannot be touched by two little men from the same pole before a shot has been made. Fast, instinctive style, requires considerable readiness of reflexes and makes the game spectacular especially for its speed.

Abroad, they love the Passage style, which allows the ball to be passed between players on the same pole. The result is a more thoughtful game, almost meditated we could define it, which allows to obtain very accurate game geometries and to make shots of great effect.

Finally, a curiosity: the latest news to play on Garlando comes from the United States, where it is already very popular: it is called Goalie Wars and consists of a head-to-head between two goalkeepers without the rods with the strikers (with 3 and 5 men) touching the ball (they must be kept raised).
