At the end of the 1940s, at the height of the war, a small carpentry shop in Spinetta Marengo produced wooden items: wine barrels, flutes and even crates for the dead. Pursuing the path of wood, it produces and markets entertainment items such as table football, billiards, ping pong and air hockey. At the dawn of the new millennium, the small artisan workshop has now been transformed into a 13,000 square meter factory. Wide spaces for the production lines, for the storage of products, for the carpentry, for the offices, but also to think even bigger.
The production of the gaming tables that have made the history of Garlando, is accompanied by the distribution of items for sport and outdoor gaming, both expanding its offer (elastic carpets, basketball boards, football doors, swings), and acquiring the exclusive representation of brands of international resonance.
Another decisive choice that tightens the links of the company structure, making it even more solid, stable and ultimately capable of absorbing and overcoming the blows that the impending economic crisis would have inflicted on the world market.
It is 2008 the exclusive distribution agreement with Stiga, number one in the world in the production of ping pong rackets. The line developed with the Swedish giant crosses the borders of the world of table tennis, encroaching on equipment for badminton and minitennis, board games, scooters, skateboards and snow games.
From the same period is the collaboration with Hapro, Dutch manufacturer of sunbeds and showers, able to meet the needs of an audience that makes their well-being a priority and who wants only the best to achieve it.
The results of the diversification undertaken are so convincing that Garlando reached an agreement with Kettler, a German multinational home fitness company, for exclusive distribution in Italy in 2009.
A far-sighted choice, destined to mark an important turning point in the company's history, which opens the doors of a new market, of which Garlando will soon become a strategic player.
In 2011, the darts targets were also introduced into the Garlando universe, creating the Equinox brand and obtaining the exclusive representation of the prestigious English company Unicorn.
A few years later, the company, thanks to the expertise acquired by selling Kettler products, introduced its own home fitness brand, Toorx, which quickly established itself for quality, professionalism and innovation.
It is soon joined by a second brand, Everfit. born to integrate and further expand the breadth of choice and to more completely oversee the home fitness segment.
In 2014, the year of the sixtieth anniversary, the company won the distribution to the Italian market of a prestigious American brand known internationally, National Geographic, for outdoor products, camping, astronomy and microscopy.
To complete a range aimed at covering every segment of the sports and entertainment world, Garlando brings to market a line of games on wheels with the Nextreme brand. From timeless skateboards to electric scooters, from traditional skates to futuristic hoverboards, for the fun of nostalgic and new generation.
To consolidate its leading position in the Italian and European fitness market, in 2015 Garlando acquired the distribution of the internationally renowned US brands Bowflex and Schwinn. High level and high performance products, equipped with innovative technology, whose reflection has given even more luster to the Toorx by Garlando brand.
On the wave of "sporty" expansion and strong experience now consolidated, was born in 2017 Toorx Professional, the brand owned by Garlando for the "gyms" sector.
