Correctly evaluating the room available is of primary importance for public places. For a billiard to have a good success it is necessary for all players to have enough room, not only to handle cues with precision, but also to comfortably move around the table.
As the shortest cue measures 125 cm, this is the minimum convenient distance between the playing surface and, for example, a wall. Of course, a distance of 150cm allows more space for the palyers to move around the table.
The chart below allows you to have an idea of the approximate room dimensions you will require:
6 foot table (playing surface cm. 180 x 90): room minimum size 4,20 x 3,30 meters
7 foot table (playing surface cm. 200 x 100): room minimum size 4,40 x 3,40 meters
8 foot table (playing surface cm. 220 x 110): room minimum size 4,60 x 3,50 meters
8 foot Pro table (playing surface cm. 224 x 112): room minimum size 4,70 x 3,60 meters
9 foot table (playing surface cm. 254 x 127): room minimum size 5,00 x 3,70 meters
