Ensuring safety and eliminating any physical danger for those who use the Garlando products has always been one of the company priorities, in which Garlando has invested considerable energies and resources.

 

The lines of products for which the regulations prescribe particular safety requirements are manufactured in compliance with the same. The CE mark on products - on the packing and on the Assembly Manual- guarantees for the conformity to the European rules. 

 

For all the others, in the absence of specific laws, we assure the respect of the normal safety standards: a product is considered safe when its use, if appropriate, does not involve risks except for the ones linked with the use itself. 
 

 

This line of products, mainly meant for a family public, has been the object of a special attention: Garlando has obtained the Declaration of Compliance with the European Harmonized Rules of Safety EN 71, specific for the category of toys. 

 

Although extremely sturdy products, with a few differences only from the coin operated football tables, they are bound to the same safety prescriptions as toys, as they can be used by children between 3 and 14 years of age. 

 

The tables compliance with the European safety regulations has been verified by means of appropriate test and assessment procedures effected by the Istituto Italiano Sicurezza Giocattoli (Italian Institute for Toy Safety).

 

The tables have undergone the following tests:

• have the necessary stability on the ground 

 

• do not contain parts that may cause contact injuries

 

• do not involve any risks for someone to get trapped inside

 

• do not cause any physical harm because of the parts movement.

• do not contain elements or substances that can explode

 

• do not contain substances or chemicals that can explode when mixed up, or heated up, or following a chemical reaction

This group of tests guarantees that Garlando home football tables:

 

• do not contain irritant materials or substances which are dangerous in contact with the skin or if inhaled.

 

In addition, Garlando freeplay football tables are manufactured with non-toxic materials: formaldehyde-free wooden compounds (plywood or MDF) and plastic parts not containing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. 

 

Assembly Manuals supplied with football tables include a Safety Warning for the safest use. 

 

 

Italian law 313 of 27.09.1991, in actuation of the European directives in this matter, defines as not belonging to the category of toys the Professional games installed in public places. 

 

Coin operated football tables are therefore expressly excluded from complying with the safety standards which are binding for toys. 

 

Nevertheless, Garlando applies to this line of articles the same safety standard which are valuable for home football tables.

• the tension is adequately insulated

 

• the system does not cause electrical discharges

 

• the maximum temperatures do not cause burns

 

Assembly Manuals supplied with football tables include a Safety Warning for the safest use. 

 

 

They are considered as belonging to the category of furniture, for which no specific safety prescriptions currently exist.

The coin validation systems, as the electromechanical motorised ball release system or the electronic system GARL 2001 comply with the Harmonized Rules on Electromagnetic Compatibility (89/336/CEE) and Safety (73/23/CEE) in that they guarantee what follows:

• the system does not cause electrical discharges

 

• the maximum temperatures do not cause burns

 

 

The models specifically designed for children comply with the European Harmonized Rules of Safety EN 71, specific for the category of toys, and can be used by children between 3 and 14 years of age.

Our table tennis tables comply with the safety standards prescribed by the European Harmonized Rules on the table tennis tables safety EN 14468-1 and EN 14468-2 (the latter pertaining to net and net-holder).
